Immediately stop the equipment if a defect is discovered or if operations are
interrupted and report the issue.

Check that the end stop switch functions correctly and that the chain hoist stops once
the load is fully raised.
18.
Warn all persons in the work area before commencing to hoist a load.
19.
Check that the brake functions correctly by tightening the chain hoist prior to every
task.
20.
Avoid swinging the load or hook.
21.
Check that the hook’s play is in the same direction as shown on the steering unit.
22.
Inspect the chain hoist regularly, replace damaged or worn parts and register the
maintenance work in the maintenance log.

Do not use the end stop switch as a general operations stop. It is only designed as a
safety measure.

Keep full focus on the task when the equipment is being used.

Do not allow the chain hoist to come into contact with other equipment, structures or
items.

Do not use the equipment in potentially explosive surroundings.

The sound pressure level at the operator’s position is lower than 78 dB.
