After releasing the handwheel, please ensure
that it engages flush with the cogs of the
temperature ring. To protect the set parameters
against unauthorized tampering, the handwheel
is lead lockable.
Setting of the volume flow
According to the German Decree for Potable
Water (TrinkwV), the Public Health Authorities
call for technical plans (including calculation
proofs).
A potable water circulation system can be
calculated with the help of the Oventrop
programme OVplan which can be found on the
Oventrop DVD (available free of charge).
Circulation valves which are sized or
set incorrectly, do not ensure a hydronic
balancing of the circulation risers. As a result,
the return pipes might cool down below the 55
°C required by the DVGW work sheet W551
and this in turn presents a risk of germs or le-
gionella developing within the system!

!
Only set the kv valves obtained from the
calculation.
The return pipes of a circulation system have
to be sized according to the valid calculation
procedures! (see also DVGW work sheet W553).
The calculation of a circulation system is to
be documented in order to carry out any
subsequent modifications or extensions (see
also DVGW work sheet W551 paragraph 5.7).
