5.9 Wiring Connections
5.9.1 Transmitter (CT9401) Power and Output Signal Wiring Connections
NOTES 1. Pulse output has limitations according to the lenght between the transmitter and total counter
and the output frequency. For details, see Section 5.7 "Output Signal and Power Terminal
ldentification".
2. If pulse output is of voltage pulse output specification, analog output 2 is not available. Do not
make wiring connections.
3. Separately-mounted transmitter power and output signal terminal location remains the same as
that of Fig. 5.7
4. Correct measurement cannot be obtained unless EARTH and GND terminals are grounded.

In case of nonexplosionproof rating,
earth ground at GND terminal and
EXT. GND or INT. GND terminal with
Class "D" grounding ( ).
In case of explosionproof rating,
be sure to earth ground EARTH
terminal (intrinsically safe terminal)
with Class "A" grounding ( ).
Connection Terminals for Remote Output Signal
The terminal block is designed to accept connection of
bare wires; therefore, no specific treatment is required
for the cable.
Applicable wires (single wire, twisted wire)
: 0.2 to 1.25sq
: AWG 24 to 16
Recommended tightening torque: 0.4 to 0.5Nm
