Misalignment of the print position 1. The media is not loaded
properly.
2. Data is printed out of the
guaranteed print area.

The media gets curly. Excessively thin media is used. Use Output Solutions approved
media only. (Thickness: 0.16 mm
to 0.45 mm)
Media gets stained. 1. Pre-printed media is used.
2. The Platen is dirty.
3. The Feed Rollers are dirty.
4. The ribbon has been just
replaced.
5. The size of the media and
ribbon does not match.
1. Make sure that the pre-printing
is completely dried.
2. Clean the Platen with the
enclosed Dust Brush or
alcohol. (Refer to Section
4.1.2, Platen, Pinch Roller, and
Feed Rollers.)
3. Clean the Platen with the
enclosed Dust Brush or
alcohol. (Refer to Section
4.1.2, Platen, Pinch Roller, and
Feed Rollers.)
4. After ribbon replacement, the
first media may be stained.
5. Use the ribbon that matches
the media width.
The top edge of the media gets
stained. 1. The Platen is dirty.
2. The ribbon has been just

The bottom edge of the media

using the ribbon saving

2. Because of the thickness of the
media, ribbon ink may be
attached to the bottom edge of
media when it has just passed
under the Print Head and the
ribbon.
