In  addition  to  the  warnings  and  the  illustration  in  this  section,  also  observe  the  following  instructions  when
attaching the sensors:

: Use the following sensors according to their labelling for the drop foot fitting assessment:

P (pelvis)

Sensor holder with straight back
Positioning: in the centre of the lumbar spine region as close as possible to the body

T (thigh):

for the affected side

Sensor holder with slightly rounded back
Positioning: centre of the side in the upper third of the thigh

C (calf):

for the affected side

Smaller sensor holder with pronounced curve on back
Positioning: centre of the side of the lower leg at the point with the largest circumference

FL (foot left):

Positioning:  foot  clip  centred  on  the  hindfoot  right  over  the  sole  of  the  shoe;  plastic  tongue  under  the
shoelaces

FR (foot right):

Positioning:  foot  clip  centred  on  the  hindfoot  right  over  the  sole  of  the  shoe;  plastic  tongue  under  the
shoelaces

CAUTION!

To protect the skin, position the sensor holders on tight fitting clothes (e.g. cycling shorts) or on

thin single-use fabric as an intermediate layer.

CAUTION!

The  warnings  at  the  beginning  of  this  section  must  be  observed  when  positioning  the  sensor

holders on the skin.

CAUTION!

The sensor holders must fit as closely to the body as possible so they do not slip during move

ment, as this would otherwise distort the measurement.

: When lengthening the straps, make sure that the hook-and-loop sections

 of both straps are aligned

in the same direction.

NOTICE!

Start by attaching all the sensor holders to the patient and then insert each sensor in the prop

er sensor holder.

: If the orthosis prevents a sensor from being attached in the ideal location, attach it as closely as pos

sible to the ideal location.
