If no data has been collected at any given frequency then no
histogram will be drawn and a diamond symbol will appear instead. If
at a particular frequency the environmental noise level is high during data
collection, no good data will be collected at that frequency and the diamond
symbol may remain for a number of loops. In constant noise the diamond
may be displayed throughout the complete test.
If local norms have been set in the test set up area then they will
be displayed on the histogram as dashed brackets within each bar
(see chapter
17
Test setup
).
Test frequency loop
Testing will start at the highest frequency and switch to a lower frequency
until the lowest frequency is reached. Testing then continues back at the
highest frequency. The time spent at each frequency is set in
Test Setup
(see chapter
17
).
Go manual
When this frequency test loop has been repeated twice (default - see
Min
Loops
in
Test setup
chapter), by selecting
Go manual
the user has the
option to change the test frequency with the left and right arrow keys. It is
not possible to change the data screen displayed in the
Go manual
mode.
The user can return to the automatic frequency loop by selecting
Go Auto
.
Noise level indicator
The noise level indicator allows continuous monitoring of the noise level
during a test. The noise reject level is now displayed numerically below the
indicator. Use the up/down arrow
keys to adjust the noise reject level.
Test condition information
When conditions are good for data collection
DP TEST
will be shown at
the top of the screen. This fades in and out to show that a test is currently
running.
Noisy
appears if the noise level is above the noise reject level for a period
of time.
Check Probe Fit
is shown if the stimulus level falls outside the accepted
range.
