Step 1
— Insert Noahlink Wireless USB
cable into the PC. The driver is installed
automatically along with Genie 2 | 2020.1
and onwards. Wait for the device to be
recognized.
Step 2
— Noahlink Wireless is now added as a
programming device and can be selected in
the “DETECT” button menu.
Step 3
— For Opn miniRITE and miniRITE T
hearing aids, ensure that both aids have
their receivers attached before attempting
to “CONNECT”.
Step 4
— Insert fresh zinc‑air batteries
(for miniRITE R make sure aids are charged),
power up hearing aids and wait for the
jingle to complete (approx. 10‑15 sec).
The hearing aids will now be in pairing
mode for 3 minutes.
Step 5
— Position the hearing aids on a flat
surface, in a direct line of sight, and no
more than 30 cm (12 inches) from Noahlink
Wireless. The purpose of 30 cm (12 inches)
proximity pairing is to avoid unintended
pairing with other hearing aids present in
the clinic.
Step 6
— Press the “CONNECT” button and
follow the screen prompts. Note that the
hearing aids must be detected and connected
within the 3‑minute time frame.

Step 7
— When the hearing aids are
connected, the status bars in Genie 2
becomes green. The hearing aids can
now be moved further away.
Step 8
— Place the hearing aids on the
client’s ears.
Step 9
— When Genie 2 communicates
with the hearing aids, the status bars in
Genie 2 and the LEDs on Noahlink Wireless
flash green.
Please note: Noahlink Wireless cannot
be used for firmware updates, except
for Oticon More hearing aids. All other
instruments must use a cable connection
(e.g. EXPRESSlink, HiPro USB devices or
NOAHlink) when performing a firmware
update via Oticon Firmware Updater.
