Loss and damage devices need to be programmed in clinic
Oticon Opn S, Opn, Opn Play, or Xceed
There are two ways to reprogram an Oticon Opn S, Opn, Opn Play, or Xceed loss
and damage hearing instrument once it’s received in the clinic. Either way will
assure all patient settings and NFMI connection between the hearing aids are
maintained.
1. Program WIRED using ExpressLink, NOAHlink, or HiPro. You can program the
loss and damaged aid only and mail it to the patient.*
2. Program WIRELESSLY, have the patient return to the clinic with the match to
this hearing aid to program them together.
With either situation chosen above, proceed with these steps:
1. Open the most recent session where both devices were connected. This will
bring you to the ‘FITTING’ screen.
2. In the ‘FITTING’ screen click ‘Connect’ in the upper left corner to connect the
replaced device.
3. Once the device is connected, choose continue. A Wireless Connection Status
box will pop up with alert ‘The instrument has a different serial number than
the selected one’. Select ‘OK’.
4. Because the hearing aid was replaced through loss and damage and the
settings were not saved, a prompt to choose ‘Use instrument data’ or ‘Use
session data’ will appear. Choose ‘Use session data’ to maintain settings and
NFMI wireless connection between hearing aids. Select ‘OK’.
5. Save and Exit.
6. Once disconnected from Genie 2, the device can be provided to the patient and
will automatically connect binaurally to the patient’s other hearing aid.
* If you are in need of an ExpressLink and/or cables for your clinic, please contact
Oticon Government Services at 877.310.9681.
