2.4 DAILY WALK-AROUND INSPECTION

General

Begin  Walk-Around  Inspection  at  item  1.  Continue  around

machine checking each item in this check list.

NOTICE

DO NOT OVERLOOK VISUAL INSPECTION OF CHASSIS UNDERSIDE. CHECKING

THIS AREA MAY RESULT IN DISCOVERY OF CONDITIONS WHICH COULD CAUSE

EXTENSIVE MACHINE DAMAGE.

INSPECTION NOTE:

On each item, make sure there are no loose or missing parts, they

are securely fastened, no visible damage exists in addition to any

other criteria mentioned.

1. Rear Wheels - Auto-Locking Brake

 Check for any 

debris stuck to or around wheels. See Inspection Note.

2. Emergency Lowering Valve

 

-

 Ensure the emergency 

lowering valve is closed before machine operation.

3. Ground Control Box - 

Placard secure and legible, con

-

trol switches return to neutral position when activated 

and released, emergency stop switch functions prop

-

erly. Control markings legible.

4. Swivel Castor Wheels

 

-

 Properly secured, wheels and 

castors turn freely. Brakes lock and releases, prevent 

wheels from rolling when locked.

5. Entry Gate

 

-

 Platform railings and entry gate in proper 

working order.

6. Platform Control Box

 

-

 Ensure the control console is 

firmly secured in the proper location. Placards secure 

and legible, control switches return to neutral position 

when activated and released, emergency stop switch 

functions properly. Control markings legible.

7. Platform

 

-

 See Inspection Note.

8. Mast Assembly -

 Verify lanyard attach point is not 

bent and is secure to mast. See Inspection Note.

9. Bubble Level Indicator

 

-

 Check bubble level indicator 

is clean, secure, and responsive to movement.

10. Emergency Stop/Battery Isolator

 

-

 Turn key switch 

in emergency stop button, then pull to release.

11. Battery/Charger Assembly/Hydraulic System

 

-

 

Proper battery electrolyte level (if non-sealed battery), 

no battery terminal corrosion. Check hydraulic oil level 

in reservoir, check hydraulic lines for oil leaks.
