MEASUREMENT OF PARAMETERS OF TRANSFORMERS
This feature allows the measurement of parameters of transformers through an analog switch,
which allows measurement of the High Sense voltage for the secondary or High Drive voltage
for primary. Points Low Drive and Low Source are connected to ground via a virtual ground.
In transformation ratio measurement mode, the instrument successively measures the primary
voltage and secondary voltage, and then performs the vector ratio of these two quantities. The
primary of the transformer is powered by the generator of the test signal through the source
resistance. The source resistance is 100Ω for ranges 2 and 3, and 1 kΩ for the first range. This
last value of source resistance reduces the voltage applied to the primary and thus allows to
obtain an appropriate secondary voltage when the transformation ratio is high.
In mutual inductance measurement mode, the instrument measures the primary current and
secondary voltage to determine an impedance Z
