Others
•
Connect the motor, driver and other peripheral control equipment directly to the
grounding point so as to prevent a potential difference from developing between
grounds.
•
When relays or electromagnetic switches are used together with the system, use
noise filters and CR circuits to suppress surges generated by them.
•
Keep cables as short as possible without coiling and bundling extra lengths.
•
Wire to separate the power lines such as the motor cable and power cable away
from the signal cables in a state of providing a minimum clearance of 100 mm
(3.94 in.) between them. If they have to cross, cross them at a right angle.

∗
When extending the motor cable or suppressing effect by noise propagation, use a ferrite
core.
Precautions about static electricity
Static electricity may cause the driver to malfunction or suffer damage. Be careful
when handling the driver with the power on. Always use an insulated screwdriver to
adjust the driver’s internal potentiometer.
Note
Do not come close to or touch the driver while the power is on.
