4.5.6.2. Buffer feeder
As with the main feeder, jams can occur at the buffer feeder when feeding
envelopes into the paper path. To clear jams at the buffer feeder, turn the
switch to the jam clear/pass thru position (as shown in Figure 4-25) and
remove the misfed envelopes.

4.5.6.3. Refeeders
Jams can occur in the refeeder paper path. Use the jam clear lever to separate
the retard pad and nip (Figure 4-26), so you can pull misfed envelopes from the
refeeder paper path.
