Inputting characters using the
adjustment knob or the multi-
function knob
Y o u c a n input letters or numbers via the
display using the adjustment knob the
arrow keys or the multi-function
knob.
The menu item a p p e a r s in the upper
a r e a , in which letters or numbers are
entered. A cursor, which displays the
current input position, is winking
behind this menu item. In the lower
part of the display you c a n see the
alphabet, numbers a n d special
characters.

Letters, numbers a n d special
characters cannot be input using the
number keys on the infotainment
system.
Select the required letters or another
character.
R e p e a t this process for the remaining
characters.
Diplaying additional special characters:
Select the " " menu item.
Additional special characters a p p e a r
on the display.
Activate small/capital letters:
Select the " A B C " menu item .
Changing the display of the " A B C "
letter group.
The following settings a r e possible:
- A B C
a b c
- A b c
Deleting characters:
Select the " C" menu item.
The character in front of the cursor is
deleted.
Moving the cursor:
Select or on the display.
Press the adjustment knob or the
key or the multi-function knob
until you reach the position you w a n t in
the entry.
Confirming input:
Select the " O K " menu point.
The " N e w entry" menu a p p e a r s on the
display.
