Voice control system
The voice control system enables you to
operate some of the mobile telephone's
functions by inputting your voice. It
recognises commands a n d sequences of
numbers independently of the person
speaking. The commands a n d sequences
of numbers c a n be spoken without a break
between the individual words.
You can also s a v e telephone numbers
using a name randomly chosen by you
(voice tag). The telephone connection c a n
be created using this name.
The voice control system contains a high-
performance noise reduction component
to suppress noises in the surrounding a r e a ,
so that the voice control system c a n also be
used during a journey.
If the voice control system fails to operate
properly or fails to recognise your voice, it
provides you with acoustic messages a n d
asks you to input the c o m m a n d you w a n t
again. The voice control system also
provides an answer to important
commands a n d , if required, makes
enquiries.
Y o u c a n stop the voice dialogue at a n y
time by re-pressing the activation key
or the -key
Before you dial a telephone number, the
following preconditions must exist:
The mobile telephone must be ready
for operation a n d slotted into the
telephone-specific adapter, or a
Bluetooth™ connection must exist.
The mobile telephone must be logged
in.
To prevent conversations being held in the
interior of the vehicle from causing
inadvertent control of the mobile
telephone or audio system, the voice
control system only starts once it has been
activated.
Activating the voice control system
By pressing the key or by pressing
the -key

for approx. 2 seconds the
voice control system is activated a n d the
symbol . a p p e a r s on the display. The
radio is switched to "silent" for the duration
of the dialogue. Any traffic news coming in
will be interrupted.
The functions c a n only then be
operated if the mobile telephone is
logged into a network.
Ending the dialogue
There are various w a y s to deactivate the
voice control system a n d end the dialogue:
By pressing the key or pressing
the - k e y

Time-outs: if nothing has been input
for a certain period of time.
The voice control system is also
interrupted by an incoming call.
