PREPARING THE MACHINE
After deciding the diameter of the pipe on which the ring is to be prefitted, follow these
instructions carefully:
•
Check that the equipment is connected to the compressed air line by means of the
connection on the rear of the machine. The maximum pressure required is 6 bar.
Use filtered, lubricated air.
Always fit an air treatment unit upstream of the air inlet.
•
Set the working pressure as follows:
a)
consult the “GUIDELINE TABLE OF OPERATING PRESSURES” for the
recommended working pressure.
b) Close the mobile guard (Fig. 1, Pos. 8) and keep the
cycle start
buttonpressed
down (Fig. 1, Pos. 9) and at the same time turn the
pressure regulator knob
(fig.
1, item 4) to set the pressure required; turn to the right to increase or to the left
to reduce the pressure.
c) cWhen the air pressure gauge (fig. 1, pos. 3) shows the pressure required, release
the cycle start button (fig.1 pos. 9).
•
Take the prefitting bush suitable for the pipe and the type of fitting (heavy or
lightweight series) and fit it onto the piston rod (fig. 2, pos. 2) keeping it clean and
lightly greased (recommended type of grease KLUBER STABURAGS NBV30). All
bushes are marked with the corresponding pipe diameter.
•
Lock the bush onto the rod by fitting the shear pin provided into its seat (fig. 2, pos.
3).
