One Stop Systems

ExpressBox 3200 | 2 Hardware Installation

To utilize the maximum bandwidth, install the OSS Host interface card into a Gen3 x8 lane slot or Gen2 x8 lane slot.

It is important to know how many lanes the host computer slot can support. The Host Interface card does not need to be configured for the
same number of lanes as the host computer slot. The Host Interface card will train down to whatever the PCIe slot speed is that it detects.

For example, if the Host Interface card is installed in a X4 lane card slot, leave the Host Interface Card setting as is. The host computer dictates
what link width and speed the expansion system will operate.

2.5.1 Computer PCIe slots to use

You must plug in the OSS Host interface card to the following slots:

X16 slot @ x16 mode

2.

X16 slot @ x8 mode

3.

X8 slot @ x8 mode
