If unsuccessful (Request timeout), you may have trouble
connecting to your ISP, please verify that the product is
properly conigured to connect to your ISP. Also verify that
your Cable/DSL modem and the line are functioning.
To insure you have access to the Internet, PING an IP address
or domain name on Internet.
For example, at the command prompt enter
C:\> PING
168.95.192.1 –w 5000 or
C:\> PING www.yahoo.com –w 5000
If successful, you are connected to the Internet.
If you can ping the ISP’s gateway, but cannot ping a specific site
(e.g. www.yahoo.com) on the Internet, chances are, your ISP
has an internal problem (DNS server not available).
