Using the PT status control area/PT status notify area
Contiguous areas (4 words for the PT status control area and 3 words for the
PT status notify area) must be allocated in the PLC memory in advance.
Screen switching, memory table copy and PT status change operations, etc.,
are possible by using the PT status control area and PT status notify area.
Allocating numeral memory table entries/character string memory table entries
Allocating memory table entries to a data area secured in the PLC memory
allows the display to be automatically updated.
4-3-3 NT11 Status Control and Notification to PLC
This section describes the fundamentals of the display elements, NT11 status
control, and notification which are the basics of the NT11 functions.
For the detail method of use of the PT status control area and the PT status
notify area, refer to
5-5 NT11 Status Control (page 129) and 5-6 Notification of
the Operating Status to the PLC (Determining the NT11 Operating Status)
(page 132).
Controlling the Display Elements by Using Allocated Bits and Words
The NT11 will operate as follows in the display element control operation.
[NT11 operation]
1,2,3... 1. The NT11 checks the allocation bits and words of the display elements and
makes an inquiry to the PLC.
2. The PLC answers the NT11 about the bit and word data.
3. The NT11 changes the display status according to the bits and words ob-
tained from the PLC.
