Establishing a wireless transmission path
16 channels in the UHF ranges 823-832 and 863-865 MHz are available for wireless transmission of audio
signals. The receiver module operates with matching transmitters (audio link module, wireless microphone
and bodypack) of the MOM-10BT4 series. Follow the steps below to establish a wireless transmission path.
1) First switch on the receiver module only by turning the level control from the left stop position. Then use
the channel selector switch to select a free transmission channel. If the RF reception indicator lights up
or starts flickering, interference or signals from other transmitters are received. In this case, use a
different channel.
2) Now switch on the transmitter and set it to the receiver’s transmission channel.
3) On the audio link module, adjust the desired volume for the audio signal transmitted and on the receiver,
adjust the desired playback volume. When using the bodypack transmitter, correct the volume level via
the gain control.
4) If necessary, use the SQ switch on the receiver to change the threshold value for response of the
interference suppression. The interference suppression will mute the receiver during pauses in speech
or vocals when interfering signals are received and their levels are below the threshold value adjusted.
Adjust the higher threshold value when the reception is good and the lower value when the distance
between the transmitter and the receiver is long.
5) Repeat the procedure to set up further wireless connections.
6) As the transmission quality depends on local conditions, please observe the following items for optimum
receiving:
• maintain a line-of-sight between the microphone and the PA system.
• make sure the distance between the microphones and the PA system is not too long.
• make sure the reception is not disturbed by objects in the transmission path; avoid placing the
microphones and the receiver where metal or other dense materials may be present and computers or
other HF-generating equipment (min. 50 cm distance).
• make sure the capacity of batteries is always sufficient.
Notes
•
Make sure that transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel, otherwise signal transmission will
not be possible.
•
Never set more than one transmitter to the same channel.
•
At the PA system into which the audio link module has been installed, the receiving modules must be
set to different channels, otherwise there will be feedback.
•
Depending on the local conditions, parallel use of up to 4 transmission paths is possible.
•
To prevent unnecessary power consumption, always switch off unused wireless modules.
Voice priority
The
VOICE PRIORITY
button activates the microphone priority function. When the button is pressed, the
volume of the music currently played will be substantially reduced while announcements via a microphone
connected or a wireless microphone are being made.
Charging mobile devices
The USB port allows you to charge the batteries of mobile devices up to max. 5V/2 A that are designed to do
so and have the necessary USB connection (e.g. smartphone, tablet etc.) Please observe the technical
specifications of the devices you wish to connect. Connect the mobile device to be charged by using a
suitable USB cable and insert it into the USB port (24). The charging is started.
