7 Adjusting Settings
Factory defaults settings
Reset PDM
is a rarely-used function that returns all of the PDM's settings to the
default factory settings.
Caution: Resetting the PDM deletes your Basal Programs, temp basal presets,
bolus presets, carb presets, and all Bolus Calculator settings. Before using
this feature, be sure you have a written record of the information you need to
reprogram your PDM. You will also need to activate a new Pod after resetting your
PDM.
To reset your PDM:
1. Prepare a list of your personalized settings so you can re-enter them after you
reset your PDM. Consult with your healthcare provider to ensure that the
settings are appropriate for you.
Tip:
The pages at the end of this User Guide can be used to record your settings.
2. If you have an active Pod, deactivate it:
Home > More actions > Change pod
.
3. Go to: Home > Settings > System setup > Diagnostics > Reset PDM
4. Press Confirm to delete your current user settings and return all user settings
to the factory default values.
Note:
History records and IOB data are not deleted.
5. Follow the PDM setup directions starting at "Username and screen color" on
page 14 to re-enter your personalized information.
Basal and Temp Basal Settings
The following sections describe how to change the settings that control basal
insulin delivery—Maximum Basal Rate, Basal Programs, and temp basals .
Maximum Basal Rate
The Maximum Basal Rate defines an upper limit for any basal rate in your Basal
Programs and temp basals. Consult your healthcare provider before changing this
setting.
