Failure when activating or sending a command to a Pod
PDM message What to do
Communication error.
Move PDM close to pod.
During activation, place the PDM so it touches the
Pod.
After activation, hold the PDM within 5 ft (1.5 m)
of the Pod.
If the communication problem persists:
Communication error.
Move to a new area and
then press "Retry."
Move across the room or to a different location.
Press
Retry
.
The PDM attempts to send the command again.
Communication timeout.
Press "Ok" to check pod
status.
Press
OK
.
The PDM request a status update from the Pod.
Communication timeout.
Press "Ok" to check pod
status or press "Discard"
to deactivate pod.
Press
OK
to resend the Pod status request, or press
Discard to begin the deactivation process.
If you press Discard , go to "Failure when
deactivating a Pod" on page 105."
If the communication is reestablished before timeout:
Communication
successful.
Your last command was successfully sent to the Pod.
Press
OK
.
If the communication is reestablished after timeout:
Communication error.
Last bolus command not
received.
Refer to settings or
history screens to
review last action.
Due to the delay in establishing communication,
your last command was not sent to the Pod. (Note:
If your last command was not about a bolus, the
word "bolus" is replaced by the last command that
you issued. )
Press
OK

Reissue your last command, if desired.
