Catheter Rack
Introduction
The catheter rack module (also called cath rack) is an option that can be integrated into any
OmniSupplier full frame unit. Only one rack per cell can be installed to ensure the catheters are
not damaged.
Tools List
The following tools are required to install, remove or repair a cath rack:
3/32” Allen wrench
5/32” Allen wrench
5/16” nut driver
Torx T8 screwdriver
Torx T15 screwdriver
Installation Procedure
1. Perform a graceful shutdown of the CT PC Box.
2. Turn the cath rack over and bend its rear tabs out no more than 10 degrees.
This will help prevent the cath rack from falling while inserting the screws.
3. Turn the cath rack on its side or with the cables and connectors up.
4. Remove the three screws securing the cable cover to the frame of the unit using a 3/32” Allen
wrench.
5. Remove any switchpanel connector covers from the wireway holes on the frame.
6. Slide the cath rack into the frame. Make sure that the rear tabs slide into the slots at the back of
the frame.
7. Insert two Allen wrenches into the screw holes on the right and left sides of the frame to
temporarily support the cath rack in place.
Caution:
Cath racks are very heavy and awkward to install or remove due to limited hand holds. Never climb
inside a frame when installing or removing a cath rack. To properly and safely install a cath rack, two people
are required.
Serious injuries could result from improper handling of a cath rack or failure to abide by the caution and
warning alerts noted in this procedure.
Caution:
Never set the cath rack down with the cables and connectors facing down as they may be damaged.
Note:
Keep a hand on the cath rack at all times to keep it from moving.
