4 Basic operation
You can append newly a moving image to the last moving image. Please select "CONTINUE" to
append the newly moving image at the end of the last recorded movie. "CONTINUE" is not dis-
played when the recording media is removed or the [VIEW] button is pressed.
Appending a moving image (RX only)

If "OFF" is set in the "FILE NAME MARK" menu, Step 3 to 5 is skipped.

Never attempt to insert or remove the USB flash drive while movie recording is in progress. Doing so will
cause movie recording to stop and an error message to appear on the display.

Recording stops automatically whenever the USB flash drive becomes full or when the file size reaches 4
GB. An empty 1 GB USB flash drive has enough capacity to record approximately 30 minutes.

Short-pressing the [VIEW] button stops movie recording and displays the retrieve screen, long-pressing
the [VIEW] button stops movie recording and displays the thumbnail screen.

Select the mark to add to the end of the file name of the image you are record-
ing, short-press the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.

Select the strings in the preset title list registered in advance, and short-press
the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.
After a still image is recorded, the movie image recording confirmation window will appear.

Select "YES" and then press the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick.
This starts movie image recording. The USB flash drive indicator flashes on the LCD monitor
while movie recording is in progress. If you select [NO] in the moving image confirmation win-
dow, only the still image is recorded but the moving image is not recorded.

To finish movie recording short-press the [FRZ/REC] button.
The flashing USB flash drive indicator disappears from the screen when movie recording is com-
plete.
