If leak is in obvious external location:
•
Remove from water
•
Dry area thoroughly
•
‘Patch’ leak with plasticised tape
(“Sleek” or similar)
•
Leak test again to confirm affected
area is patched effectively
•
Continue with reprocessing as usual
•
Package endoscope in yellow
infectious waste bag inside scope
case
•
Transport to service centre after
notifying Olympus
Internal leak can occur in one or more
of the following areas:
Biopsy channel, suction channel,
air/water channel, suction cylinder,
air/water cylinder
Internal Leak

If leak is internal (i.e. in channel):
•
Keep leak tester attached and
running
•
Continue with manual cleaning as
far as possible
•
Brush / flush / Alcohol
•
