Chapter 4: Configuring EXVoice for Using the DS-4000 Recorder
Reassigning a Recorder in EXVoice 7.x
At times, you may need to assign an Olympus recorder to a different
provider. This can be done by a system administrator at any workstation on
which the
Olympus Uploader has been installed and configured.
Note: If your facility is using EXVoice Version 6.5, refer to “Assigning a
Recorder (EXVoice 6.5)” beginning on page 53 for the installation
procedures.
To reassign an Olympus DS-4000 recorder to a provider when your
facility is using EXVoice Version 7.x:
1. With the recorder turned on, insert the recorder in the cradle. The
Dictaphone/Dictaphone DS-3000/DS-4000 Upload Utility opens
automatically.
2. Press F4 (or click File > Configure Portable ) to open the Assign DS-
4000 to author dialog box.
Note: If the Assign dialog box does not open, remove the
recorder from the docking station, then reinsert the recorder into
the docking station.
3. Click the drop-down list and select the appropriate user.
4. Click OK to complete and close this dialog box.
Assigning a Recorder (EXVoice 6.5)
Note: If your facility is using EXVoice Version 7.x, refer to “Adding the
Input Type Column to Job Lister Reports” beginning on page 56 for the
installation procedures.
To assign an Olympus DS-4000 recorder to a provider when your
facility is using EXVoice Version 6.5:
1. With the recorder powered on, place the recorder in the cradle.
