Chapter 4: Configuring EXVoice for Using the DS-4000 Recorder
Creating ID Field Matching
ID Field matching must be used when configuring users for the Olympus DS-
4000 recorder. For providers to use the Olympus DS-4000, you must follow
these procedures to set up ID Field matching for each of the worktypes each
provider will use when dictating with the DS-4000 recorder.
You can configure as many worktypes in ID Field Matching as you want, but
can only select 10 on the
Portables tab (for version 7.x) or when using the
Olympus setups (for version 6.5). Refer to “Configuring Users for the DS-
4000 ” beginning on page 50 for information on configuring the appropriate
provider master profile for the Olympus worktypes.
To set up ID field matching:
1. Start the EXVoice Explorer application. The Exploring EXVoice
window opens.
2. Expand your Site .
3. Expand Id Field Matching .
4. Select the field you are using for worktypes. In this example we will
use Field 1 .
Note: In most cases, Field 1 is used, although you can choose a
different field. However, the information in the field must match
what is configured in the Master Profile’s ID Configuration tab.
