CLEANING THE OPTICAL SCANNER
An accumulation of dust on the glass of the optical scanner can prevent the documents from being
scanned correctly. To avoid this problem, it is advisable to clean the glass periodically as follows.

The fax machine must be disconnected from the power supply.
1.
Raise the operator console.
2.
Release the green lever on the LH side of the white roller
and remove the roller. Clean the roller with a lint-free
cloth to remove all dirt.
3.
Clean the glass of the optical scanner with a clean cloth
slightly dampened with a specific glass cleaning product.
Dry the glass carefully. Do not pour or spray the cleaning
product directly onto the glass.
Refit the roller and close the operator console.
To check that the scanner is clean, copy a blank sheet of
paper. If vertical lines appear on the copy and a further
examination of the glass shows it to be perfectly clean,
contact customer service.
