A
MULTIFUNCTIONAL
PRODUCT
The fax machine is a
multifunctional product
.
In fact, when
connected to a Personal Computer
on which spe-
cific communication software (
LinkFax
) has been installed, it will op-
erate as a
black & white and color graphic printer
: documents
such as letters, drawings or spreadsheets, created with standard
Windows applications, can thus be printed on the fax machine.
It can also be used as a
scanner
for acquiring images and docu-
ments on the PC.
Or, with the aid of a PC fax application, for example "WINFAXPRO"
(not provided with the fax machine), it may work as a modem:
docu-
ments of all kinds
(text and images) can be
sent directly from
the PC.
In addition, incoming documents can be
saved on the PC
, and
subsequently be viewed and processed using standard
Windows
applications.
Finally, it supports the transmission and reception of documents as
e-
mail attachments
, using the
Internet
channel.
