CE:
Many products seeking entry into the European Union must comply with the
European Directives and bear the CE Marking. The CE Marking is the manufacturer's
self-declaration, showing compliance with all applicable directives.
GS:
The German safety approval mark shows conformity with the German Equipment
Safety Law. It is a recognised mark for electrical products, such as office equipment,
household appliances and industrial equipment, and is widely accepted throughout
Europe. The TÜV GS Mark signals to the buyer, customer and consumer that the
product, as well as the user manual and production process, has been tested by an
authorised institution such as TÜV and is supported by regular surveillance audits.
ROHS:
Regulations implement EU Directive 2002/95 which bans the placing on the EU
market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels
of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and
polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
