5.8 Electrical connections
5.8.1 General
The appliance can be used only when it is connected to an efficient earth system.
The appliance is supplied ready for connection to the mains supply. Before connecting the
appliance to the mains supply, perform the following checks:
• mains voltage must comply with the power input data shown on the appliance rat-
ing plate;
• the appliance power supply cable must be rubber insulated and at least equivalent
to type H07RN-F, with conductor cross-section commensurate with the maximum
power rating of the appliance (see "Technical specifications table"
• when installing the appliance, the upstream mains feeding line must be equipped
with an efficient all-pole disconnect switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm.
The all-pole disconnect switch must be located in an easily accessible place in the
immediate vicinity of the appliance. We recommend the use of a thermal magnetic
circuit breaker complete with fuses;
• the appliance power supply cable must not be exposed to direct sources of heat.
