4.2 Using the appliance
4.2.1 Filling the tank
First check that the drain valve is closed. (pos. 1, fig. 3).
Fill the tank with water up to the maximum level (level of overflow) by means of the fill-
ing tap.

4.2.2 Switching on the appliance
• Switch on the appliance by setting the external safety switch to ON;
• Turning the thermostat knob clockwise will cause the line indicator light to illumi-
nate (pos. 3, fig. 1 above) thereby confirming that the appliance is powered;
• Continue to rotate thermostat knob to start heating the water. Heating is provided
by immersed armoured heating elements designed to resist mechanical and ther-
mal stress. Operation of the heating system is confirmed by illumination of the op-
eration indicator light (pos. 2 in figure1 above);
• The water temperature can be set between 70° C and 90° C (pre-heating) or in the
continuous heating position. (see figure 2 above).
