Press the Start key. Your fax machine will begin polling 
the remote fax machine.

Dual Access

Your fax machine’s dual access feature allows you to 
load and prepare to transmit a document while your 
fax machine is still sending or receiving another 
message (as long as the document feeder is clear). This 
feature increases the amount of productive time you 
can spend using your fax machine, and reduces your 
waiting time.

If you load a document on the document table and the 
display shows SELECT LOCATION, then your fax 
machine is ready to allow you to prepare for the next 
transmission. 

What You Can Do While Sending a Fax

After your fax machine has finished scanning a 
document into memory (and while it is transmitting 
from memory), you can do the following: 

OKIFAX 1050: 

You can load one document and 

prepare it for standard transmission to a single 
location. The document will remain loaded on the 
document feeder. When the current transmission is 
finished, your fax machine will begin sending the 
loaded document. 

OKIFAX 2350 and 2450: 

You can load another 

document and prepare it for transmission. The 
document will be scanned into memory while your 
first document is being transmitted. Your transmission 
can be a standard transmission to a single location, a 
multiple-location transmission, or a delayed 
transmission. You can continue to load and scan 
additional documents as long as additional memory is 
available. When your first transmission is completed, 
the other documents you have loaded will 
automatically be sent.

What You Can Do While Receiving a Fax

While your fax machine is receiving a fax, you can do 
the following: 

OKIFAX 1050: 

You can load one document and 

prepare it for standard transmission to a single 
location. The document will remain loaded on the 
document feeder. When the current reception is 
finished, your fax machine will begin sending the 
loaded document. 

OKIFAX 2350 and 2450: 

You can load another 

document and prepare it for transmission. The 
document will be scanned into memory while you are 
receiving a document. Your transmission can be a 
standard transmission to a single location, a multiple-
location transmission, or a delayed transmission. You
