Chapter 6: Consumables and
cleaning

Changing the ribbon cassette

If the contrast of the printed characters is deteriorating, the ribbon
needs to be changed. To do this, proceed as follows:

Caution!

The print head moves and can cause injury to the hands.
Switch the printer OFF LINE and wait until the print head stops
moving.

1.

Switch the printer OFF LINE by pressing the SEL button; the
SEL

 lamp is extinguished.

2.

Open the printer cover.

Caution!

The print head may be hot and can burn your hands.
Wait until the print head has cooled down.

3.

Move the print head to the
middle of the platen.
