Potentiometer
The
consistency/
voltage
readings
fluctuate.
The resistor is not level.
The resistor has excess
powder coating from the
factory.
There is a short in the
contact pin.
The potentiometer shaft is
loose.
The drive bar on the slurry
cup is loose.
Carefully remove and reinstall the
resistor so that the upper edge is flat
and level.
Use an emery cloth to clean the upper
and lower edge of the resistor.
Replace the contact pin (Contact
OFITE).
Tighten the potentiometer shaft.
Tighten the drive bar.
The
consistency/
voltage
readings are
zero
The contact arm is not
touching the resistor.
The resistor wire is broken.
Check the contact arm to ensure that
it contacts the entire length of the
resistor. Bend the arm if necessary.
Replace the resistor wire.
The
potentiometer
will not hold
calibration.
The three screws
on the bottom of the
potentiometer body are
loose.
The resistor is bad.
Tighten the three screws.
Replace the resistor.
