This chapter describes how to clean, disinfect, and maintain the
Corvis® ST.
Sterilization is not required.
Heed the product descriptions and instruction manuals of products
and equipment you use to care for, clean, and disinfect the unit and/
or its accessories.
Do not clean the Corvis® ST with aggressive, chlorinated, abrasive, or
harsh cleansers.
Note
Equipment damage due to moisture
Make sure that no liquid can get into the Corvis® ST.
15.1 Cleaning
Attention
Risk of electric shock if the Corvis® ST is not completely disconnected
from the mains for these jobs.
Unplug the power cord before cleaning. When disconnecting
electrical connections, pull on the respective plug and not on the
cable itself.
Required materials
Cleaner for plastic surfaces with anti-static effect
Cleaner for painted surfaces: mixture of equal parts of alcohol and
distilled water, possibly with a few drops of commercial detergent
Soft, lint-free cloth (for example gauze or microfibre)
Cleaning alcohol
Commercial clean agent for the glass
Cotton swab
if necessary: bellows
Cleaning inervalls
Clean the components of the Corvis® ST once a month or if
necessary.
