Define the subnet mask
Introduction
Use the following procedure to define the subnet mask.
Note:
If the DHCP server is defined, you can skip this procedure.
Before you begin
Use the key, the key and the 'previous' key to navigate. Use the
'next/select' key to select a menu or a value.
How to define the subnet mask
1.
Make sure you have access to the system settings.
(see ‘Access the system settings in the system menu’ on page 119)
2.
Navigate to 'Network settings' and select this menu.
3.
Navigate to 'Adapter 2' and select this menu.
4.
Navigate to 'Subnet mask' and select this menu.
The first three digits flash.
5.
Enter the first three numbers with the key and the key
and press the 'next/select' key to confirm the value.
The next three digits flash.
6.
Enter the next three numbers with the key and the key
and press the 'next/select' key to confirm the value.
The next three digits flash.
7.
Enter the next three numbers with the key and the key
and press the 'next/select' key to confirm the value.
The next three digits flash.
8.
Enter the next three numbers with the key and the key
and press the 'next/select' key to confirm the value.
The next three digits flash.
9.
Navigate to the next network setting or press the 'on-line' key to turn the printer
on-line again.
Result
The subnet mask is defined.
