5.3 Manual Start-up
Carefully read the illustration on the control cabinet and control panel (PLC). Then follow the
operation steps.

Switch all loads to the “OFF” position.

Turn the Main Circuit Breaker (2) , to the “OFF” position.
③
Open the side access door and turn on the engine battery switch, then close the door.
④
Turn the Key Switch (7) to the “ON” position.

Press the Manual button (k) , the LED above the button will illuminate.
⑥
Press the Start button (b) , a 3 second pre heat on the engine will engage.
The fuel solenoid is energized and after a 1 second delay the starter motor will make
the engine crank for the duration of the crank timer (preset in PLC to 3 attempts).

After the engine successfully starts, allow approximately five minutes to warm up.

Turn the Circuit Breaker ON (2). This will allow power to the main terminals. The
external load can now be switched on. Upon sensing the correct voltage and
frequency, the PLC will display the Running Feedback LED (d)
and U/F OK
generator LED
Danger:
Before Turning the Main Circuit Breaker (2) to “ON”, ensure that all load circuit
breakers and switches are positioned to “OFF”. Failure to do so could result in
serious injury or death.
Do not touch any wires or connections when the generator is running, this may result in
serious injury or death.
