
Tem pera ture Sen sor
The dis tance be tween the ETM and the tem pera ture sen sor can be up to 1000
feet. Re fer to the sen sor’s in stal la tion in struc tions for mount ing and com plete
wir ing de tails.
Step
Procedure
1
Mount the re mote tem pera ture sen sor in the zone be ing con trolled
or in the sup ply air of the HVAC unit.
2
Run a shielded 2- conductor ca ble (Belden 8761, No var
WIR-1010, or equiva lent) from the sen sor to the base plate.
3
Con nect the plus (+) lead to the vio let wire.
4
Con nect the minus (–) lead to the gray wire at the ETM- 2040.
Fan Status
Use a shielded 2- conductor ca ble (Belden 8761, Novar WIR-1010, or equiva lent)
to con nect the fan status switch to the ETM.
Step
Procedure
1
Con nect one lead from the fan status switch to the ET M’s brown
wire.
2
Con nect the other lead from the fan status switch to one of the
ET M’s black wires (see Ta ble 1, Status Re turn).
The fan status switch con tact is open when the fan is off and closed when the fan
is on.
Dirty Fil ter Switch
Use a shielded 2- conductor ca ble (Belden 8761, No var WIR-1010, or equiva lent)
to con nect the fil ter status switch to the ETM.
Step
Procedure
1
Con nect one lead from the fil ter status switch to the ET M’s
white/brown wire.
2
Con nect the other lead from the fil ter status switch to one of the
ET M’s black wires (see Ta ble 1, Status Re turn).
The fil ter status switch con tact is closed when the fil ter is dirty.
