— CSU is NOT configured for robbed-bit signaling
— CSU accepts B8ZS zero substitution codes
Unused carrier links should be configured as “unequipped” (using the set
configuration command from the man machine interface terminal), to
avoid a constant alarm condition. The alarm relay contacts will remain
active during such an alarm condition.

Install the local MMI terminal and T1 carrier link cables to the LMI
Multi I/O cable assembly, see Figure 5 on page 17.
Note: Before connecting the T1 carrier link to the system, the
connection between the telco demarcation point such as CSU, should
have been completed using the NT7R87BA T1 CSU Cable Kit.
10 Connect the female DB-9 end of the NT7R66BA (MMI Cable Kit) to P5
of the RMI Multi-I/O Cable Assembly (NT5D87).
