Test K: Voltage Within Cutout Range but Refrigerator Cuts Out

voltage within
specification?
Correct input voltage.
NO
Remove refrigerator from enclosure,
but keep a power supply (either AC
or DC) connected.
Make sure:
- Upper and lower vents are not
blocked.
- The refigeratgor is not overloaded
with hot items.
- The ambient operating temperature
is lower than 131°F (55° C).
- If DC power is not connected, a
minimum of 90 VAC is present
Measure input voltage.
- 12 VDC nominal inout voltage is
10.9 - 17.0 VDC.
- 24 VDC nominal input voltage is
23.8 - 31.5 VDC,120 VAC or
240 VAC.

Is
unit
overloaded?
Reduce load on unit.
YES
NO
Remove refrigerator from enclosure,
but keep a power supply (either AC
or DC) connected.
Disconnect thermostat wire from
terminal “P”
(P)
on the cooling unit
control module. Test the refrigerator.
Does the
refrigerator still
cut out?
Repair complete.
