Caution
Cables that connect to the Gigabit Ethernet card must be ANSI TIA/EIA-568-A/B
compliant (Cat 5 or Cat 5e) to prevent potential data loss.
To connect to a 1-Gbps hub, switch, or router, use a straight-through RJ-45 cable (Cat 5 or Cat
5e type cable, or as required by your network configuration).
Note
Nokia copper Gigabit Ethernet NICs support cable autosensing. You can use a straight-
through or crossover cable to connect the NIC to a Gigabit Ethernet hub or switch or to
connect directly to a host.
In

pins facing up and toward you.
