IP100 Series Installation Guide

Access and Login Problems

Possible Cause

The port is not enabled.

Possible Solution

View the port in

lynx

through the console port and verify that the

interface is configured as active and up.

Possible Cause

The host port configuration is incorrect.

Possible Solution

Check host ethernet port settings. Verify that IP address and netmask
settings are correct for the unit’s configuration.

Possible Cause

The link speed is wrong.

Possible Solution

Verify that the port on the host and the port on the IP100 Series NAP
are set for the same speed (10 Mbps/100 Mbps). A solid data/activity
LED on a port indicates a speed mismatch.

Possible Cause

The duplex setting is wrong.

Possible Solution

Correct the duplex setting (Full/Half). Hubs use half duplex. Switches
use full duplex.
