USE AND SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN USED IN HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE
RECOVERY
Procedures for exchanging filters
All used filters, bags and debris must be treated as a
hazardous substances and must be disposed of in
accordance with all federal, state and local regulations. It
is advisable to use the pre-filter and dustbag together with
the HEPA filter. Using the pre-filter and dustbag to
capture the largest particles will extend the life of the
HEPA filter.
· Motor filter
Some models do have a foam filter located above the
suction inlet of the motor. To replace this filter: Grasp the
snap locks and pull them outwards. Lift the lid up from the
container. The motor filter is held in place at the suction
inlet by notches in the motor stand. Fold the foam filter and
gently pull it out from the motor stand. Replace with a new
motor filter.
· Pre-filter
Grasp the snap locks and pull them outwards. Lift the lid
up from the container. The pre-filter is mounted directly
over the HEPA filter. To remove the pre-filter, simply pull
it downward, off of the HEPA filter. Install a new pre-filter
by pulling it upward, over the HEPA filter.
· HEPA filter
Grasp the snap locks and pull them outwards. Lift the lid
up from the container. Using care not to dislodge any
debris, remove the HEPA filter from the motor housing by
pulling downward on the filter. Clean the sealing surfaces
before installing a new HEPA filter. Install the new HEPA
filter by sliding it over the motor housing. When installing
a new HEPA filter, always push on the frame of the filter
and not the pleated filter media. Applying pressure to the
filter media may damage the filter, reducing its efficiency.
Replace the lid onto the container and secure the lid using
the snap locks.
Warning!
Hazardous dust may be discharged by the
machine if the filter is not properly secured.
