34 Scrub System 78
34 Scrub System
Functional Description
The brush system is controlled by operator. The rotating brush system can clean the surface of floor.
The main component of brush system is the deck where brushes or pad holders with pads suitable for the type of
floor to be cleaned are installed.
The brush rotates only when the driver presses throttle pedal. When pedal is released, brush motors will stop within
five seconds.
If brush motors are overloaded, circuit breakers (F3&F4) will stop them. To start scrubbing again after brushes stop
due to overloaded, turn off machine, reset circuit breaker and then turn on machine.
To work properly, brush motors (M2&M3) need to meet all the following inputs/conditions:
Brush function is enabled
Throttle pedal is pressed
Battery capacity >10%.
Brush Release Function
To release brush from hub, brush motors start up and then stop immediately. After brush motors start up for
several seconds, the wires on both sides of brush motors will be connected to positive terminal of power supply
at the same time, generating reverse
current to stop the motor abruptly. The brush’s inertia thus causes it to
disengage from the hub.
Brush Install Function
First put the brush under the brush disc and make sure they are basically aligned. Press brush install button on
the panel and brush disc will descend slowly, during which brush motors also spin at low speed. About 5 seconds
later, brush motors stop spinning and accelerate to maximum speed in 0.1 second, thus generating considerable
force to install the brush to the brush disc. Then the brush motors will stop in 10 seconds. Afterwards brush disc
will raise and brush installation is completed.
Brush ECO Mode
When pressing ECO button, the brush output MOSFET of Main Controller (EB2) will lower the voltage of brush
motors to 28V via PWM regulation, reducing the current draw of brush motors to reduce power consumption, thus
achieving energy saving.
