Slowly turn the Focus Knob on side of the instrument until good focus is achieved to ensure accurate counts. 
Live cells will have a bright center and a dark, crisp clearly defined edge as shown in the examples below.

In the 

Setup

 area of the screen, choose the 

Cell Type

 from the drop-down list, enter a 

Sample ID

 and ensure 

the 

Dilution Factor

 is accurate for the sample. 

7.

 

Click the 

Count

 button while the cell image is displayed.  

Note:

 When software is in 

Data Analysis Mode

, the 

Count

 button will 

not

 be enabled. Click the 

Recount

 icon          

to re-analyze the captured image.
