To fold the lower bunk to use as a sofa, begin by raising the bunk beds to their highest
position. Once the bunks are completely raised, use the four pins provided with the unit to
lock the top bunk into position (install one pin in each of the four lift posts on the wall).
These pins will lock the upper bunk in the highest position. Once the upper bunk is secure
in this position, you can lower the bottom bunk using the power lift / lower mechanism.
When the lower bunk has reached the bottom of its
travel, reach in between the cushions to lift the
back portion upright to convert the bunk into a
sofa. Lift the back portion until it “clicks” into
place.
To lower the seat backs, returning the bunk to a sleeping surface, pull the
seat back toward you until it clicks; the seat back will release and you can
lower it to make a sleeping surface.
WARNING
DO NOT use the bunk beds as a lifting device. DO NOT operate the bunk beds with anything on them.
Attempting to do so could result in failure of the bed, the lift mechanism, or both, and could result in damage
to the RV, and injury or death to anyone nearby. The rear cargo area bunk beds are designed for temporary
use and should not be occupied while in transit. They should also not be occupied while any vehicles are
stored in the cargo bay area.
Cargo Ramp / Door Screen (optional)
The Cargo Ramp / Door features an optional pull down mesh screen that allows you
to leave the ramp lowered for ventilation and comfort while keeping insects and
other pests out of the cargo bay / garage area. Simply grasp the handle in the
middle of the screen and pull it downwards until it latches on the ends to the catch
mechanisms on the floor. To retract it, hold the handle and release the latches on
the ends. Spring tension will pull the screen up, so be sure to hold the handle
securely to prevent sudden retraction that could potentially damage the accessory.
Cargo Bay Entertainment Center (optional)
Your unit may have an Entertainment Center located in the Garage / Cargo area. This entertainment center
incorporates a television and stereo. The TV can be used to tune local channels via the antennae (note that it is
not connected to the DVD player inside the unit). The AM/FM/CD stereo is connected to 4 speakers; two in the
garage area, and two located on the door side of the unit under the awning. They can be turned on and off in pairs
using the switch located inside the cabinet door above the radio, allowing you to listen to interior speakers,
exterior speakers, or both.
