IMPORTANT: READ ENTIRE MANUAL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL 
THESE UNITS. 
 

1.  For clearance see Figure 7. 
2.  Failure to follow instructions will result in improper  burning of unit and voids all 

warranties and liability of manufacturer. 

 

NOTE:

   Do  not allow the combustion and ventilation  air  to  be  obstructed. Combustion air 

enters at the bottom of this unit. 
 
3.  All  units must be vented with 4" pipe from top of  unit  to entire height of existing 

chimney. 

 

CAUTION: 

 Read 1 - 7, page 9 carefully before lighting your unit  for the first time. 

 

NOTE:  TRIM PANELS CANNOT COVER EXISTING COOLING OR LOUVERED 
VENTS ON ANY PRE-FAB FIREPLACE. 
 
 
NOTE:  IF THE BOTTOM OF THE HEATER IS LESS THAN 7" (177mm) FROM 
COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS ON THE FLOOR WHEN INSTALLED, YOU MUST 
HAVE A FLOOR PROTECTOR 12" (304mm) FROM THE FRONT OF THE HEATER. 
 
NOTE:  

A tube is located at the top of the unit behind brass louvers.  This tube is used to check 

draft of unit after it has been installed as an insert.
