6.2 Enclosure Considerations
The light from the burner may shine past the enclosure ceiling and illuminate the room ceiling. If you do
not desire this additional illumination you will need to create a light trap or design your enclosure
accordingly. Reference the chart below to determine the recommended enclosure dimensions to trap the
light within the enclosure. It is recommended to choose enclosure dimensions that fall along the diagonal
line on the chart.
NetZero Fire Waterplace devices are meant to be installed without needing any ventilation in the
housing for the device when the vents in the top of the unit are unobstructed.
If the top air intake is obstructed with media, vents need to be built into the enclosure to feed air from
the room into the cutout cavity. It requires 50 square inches of air intake per 20 inches of burner length.
