Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
Can I leave my Yap Jack plugged into the wall jack at
all times?
Answer:
Yes. The Yap Jack is designed to stay connected to your
telephone line and will not interfere with your regular
phone calls. You can also use your Yap Jack on the same
line as an answering machine.
Question:
Where can I find an Internet Service Provider?
Answer:
If you do not currently have an ISP, you have a variety
of options. We have partnered with IDT to offer you a
discounted ISP service. Please contact us at 888-581-
0842 for details. You can also check your telephone
directory for a list of all local ISP’s.
Question:
Can I connect my Yap Jack to a digital PBX line?
Answer:
No. The Yap Jack is not compatible with a digital
PBX line and may be damaged if connected to one. If
you wish to use your Yap Jack with a digital PBX phone
system, you must use an analog-to-digital modem con-
verter.
Question:
Will my cordless phone work with the Yap Jack?
Answer:
Yes. Cordless phones are compatible with the Yap Jack.
