Changing the Language of Your Yap Jack
The change language function is not available on all Yap Jack models.
In addition, all of the languages listed in the EXTENDED MENU may
not always be available.
If the change language function is available, you can access it through
the EXTENDED MENU. Change the language by accessing the
MAIN MENU and pressing 5 to enter the CONFIGURATION
MENU. Press 8 to access the EXTENDED MENU. Then, enter the
appropriate language number. You will be prompted to “press star [*]
to proceed or press pound [#] to cancel.” Depending on your connec-
tion speed, the upgrade process will take from three to six minutes.
The new upgrade will be downloaded and automatically installed. The
button on the Yap Jack will blink slowly, indicating the upgrade is in
progress. During language installation, the button will blink rapidly
for about five seconds. Do not abort or unplug the power cord at any
time during the upgrade procedure. After a successful download and
installation, your Yap Jack will ring and the voice prompt will say,
“Upgrade successful.”
WARNING: Loss of electrical power during the language installation
period can permanently disable your Yap Jack. If you suspect a
problem, call the support line.
Menu Number 411: Last Error Message
This option allows you to replay the last error message you received.
Menu Number 444: Reset Settings
This option enables you to reset all settings to the original factory settings.
